What Course would you like us to teach?

This is our “Life Defense” Training concept. Everyone has busy schedules and wants to get the best training during what little free time we have in life. I retired from my Law Enforcement career in January 2020 to provide the best real-world CCW training available to the public. The Sheepdog Project does not set limits on how many students we must have to run a course. On the contrary though, we do set limits on how many we will teach at one time. The purpose is to ensure we provide you with the quality personalized training that you deserve. Last quarter, we began offering theses Life Defense Training opportunities (letting you choose what course we teach) and had a great response. Going forward, we will be offering many more of these on our calendar. Here is a list of courses available and a link to more information about them:

Here’s how this works. If you’re seeing a big list of courses below, you can pick whatever course you qualify for. If you’re only seeing 1 course below, someone already picked and that is the only course available for this date.  Course selection will be on a “first come, first serve” basis. Select from the list of courses below. “Get the training you need Now, while the time is Right, before you find yourself in a situation wishing you had our training Right Now!” Let us know how we can serve you by selecting the course you want from below. ALSO, don’t forget about the ALTRA Package! If you don’t have a gun yet, no need to buy one before taking our courses. Just add the ALTRA Package to your cart below and we will provide you with everything you’re going to need for the course.

Event FAQs

Prerequisites
For Handgun 101, Bare Bones Tactics & Level 1 Part 1 Courses:
No previous training required. These are Entry level courses and will be conducted indoors.

Live-Fire shooting courses (Conducted outside)
For Level 1 Part 2:
You must have completed our Level 1 Part 1 in person or online. If completed online, you will be required to provide the completed test prior to the start of this course. (Not required for active or retired Law Enforcement.)

For Level 2:
Unless you are prior or current Law Enforcement, you must have successfully completed our Level 1 Parts 1 and 2 prior to taking this course.

For Level 3:
You must have successfully completed our Level 2 course prior to taking this course.

For Level 4:
You must have successfully graduated from our Level 3 course prior to taking this course.
Cancellation & Refunds
You may cancel this course for a full refund prior to 3 weeks from the start date or you may reschedule for a future date up to 1 year from the original date of purchase. If you cancel within the same week as the course (within 7 days barring emergencies), you will forfeit your registration fee and be required to pay full price to sign up for the course again.
Required Gear
For Handgun 101, Bare Bones Tactics & Level 1 Part 1 Courses:
If you own a pistol that you currently carry or are wanting to carry, please bring it with you. If not, we will fit you with one and use it for training. NO BULLETS ARE ALLOWED IN THE TRAINING ROOM.

FOR ALL LIVE FIRE (SHOOTING) COURSES
You will be required to bring the following with you:
1. Eye protection
2. Hearing protection
3. Your pistol
4. A holster that will be worn on a belt or on your strong-side hip (no small of back or Cross-draw holsters permitted until you have successfully completed our Level 2 & no Shoulder holsters permitted.)
5. A minimum of TWO magazines (or speedloaders for revolver users)
6. A hat with a brim (baseball style hat is preferred)
7. Check the weather and dress accordingly; we will be outside the whole time. No open-toe shoes permitted.

If you need any of these items, just let us know and we'll make arrangements to have them available for you. If you don't have a gun yet, be sure to add the ALTRA PACKAGE to your order and we'll provide you with all the above.

NO SINGLE ACTION REVOLVERS ARE PERMITTED TO BE USED

For Level 1 Part 2: Minimum of 125 bullets for your caliber of pistol
For Level 2: Minimum of 200 bullets for your caliber of pistol
For Level 3: Minimum of 225 bullets for your caliber of pistol
For Level 4: Minimum of 225 bullets for your caliber of pistol
