Altra Firearms - Ring of Fire , Jackson Center
Our course will teach you the Laws regarding Concealed Carry, Dispute Resolution, Use of Force and the Castle Doctrine. You will learn how to safely handle guns, verify their status (Open, Empty & Safe). You will receive professional instruction on the Basic Fundamentals of shooting. Practicing how to get in a defensive stance, grip the gun, get a correct sight picture and sight alignment, squeeze the trigger and follow through. You will do this with hands-on practice utilizing Glock 19 Airsoft Guns. Additionally, you will complete a written examination. Consequently, you will be indoors for the first 4 hours then head outside for the last 4. We will conduct basic live-fire drills where we will reinforce the techniques just learned. There will be a Skills Evaluation at the end of this course.

Be sure to select the proper ticket type when checking out. No Range Fee discounts will be applied, as the amount you will pay is just for the Range Fee.
If you have successfully completed the Level 1 Part 1 Online Video Series, we welcome you as well. Please remember to provide the completed Competency exam prior to beginning Part 2. Please report to our Ring of Fire shooting range in front of Altra Firearms.
Level 1 Part 1 is a perquisite for anyone wishing to take this course; active and retired LE excluded.
The combination of Part 1 and Part 2 meets the requirements described in the section 2923.125 (G)(1) and (G)(2)(b) of the Ohio Revised Code. If you live in Ohio and are needing to apply for your CCW, please be sure to add the P14Ohioans discount to your cart before checking out. This will reduce your total by $25 to help offset the amount you will have to pay your county Sheriff’s office. You will be required to show a valid photo ID to verify that you are an Ohio resident.
Successfully Completed Level 1 Part 1 within the previous 365 days and submitted the competed Competency Exam to TSP prior to the start of the Level 1 Part 2 Course.
You may cancel this course for a full refund prior to 3 weeks from the start date or you may reschedule for a future date up to 1 year from the original date of purchase. If you cancel within the same week as the course (within 7 days barring emergencies), you will forfeit your registration fee and be required to pay full price to sign up for the course again.
You will need the following gear: - ANSI rated Eye Protection - Hearing Protection - CCW Holster to be worn on a belt on your strong side hip (no shoulder or cross-draw holsters permitted) - Pistol (preferably the one you carry / will carry) and at least 2 magazines or speed-loaders (3 is preferred) ***No Cowboy Single Action Revolvers will be permitted to be used for any of our courses*** - 100 FACTORY bullets for your caliber of pistol (NO RELOADS) - Shoes or boots - No open toe shoes (i.e. sandals) - Hat with a brim (baseball style or boonie hat)
