If you feel your child is ready to receive some professional gun safety training, let us help you on this journey.
Previously in Phase 1, the student completed the NRA certified SIMCO course.
In this course, Phase 2, we continue Firearm Training utilizing our Virtual Range. The student will employ the safe gun handling lessons learned in Phase 1. The Cardinal Rules of Firearm Safety are in practice while they utilize the fundamentals of shooting accurately on our Virtual Range. Naturally, there’ll be some fun games and competition involved to keep them engaged.
Phase 3 involves empty-handed techniques. This is a very basic variation of a Self-Defense course we offer to our adults. We want the student to feel empowered knowing that the gun is not the first option in an altercation, but rather the very last.
Phase 4 is the final phase and restricted to ages 13-17 (parent or guardian must be present.) During this phase, we will be conducting a live-fire exercise to practice the principles learned in Phases 1 and 2. (Phases 1 and 2 are a prerequisite for participating in this final Phase.)
The student will receive a certificate at the completion of each phase of this course.
Parent’s / Guardian’s are required to read, print and bring with them the completed FTA-Altra Liability Waiver even if they do not intend to stay with the student.
**REGISTRATION CLOSES 2 DAYS PRIOR TO THE START OF THE COURSE**
This course is available to all youth ages up to 17 years old who have successfully completed our Phase 1 portion of F.A.S.T.
There is no live-fire shooting done during this course.
You may cancel this course for a full refund prior to 2 weeks from the start date. If you cancel within the same week as the course (within 7 days barring emergencies), you will forfeit your registration fee and be required to pay full price to sign up for the course again in the future.
A waiver will need to be signed by the parent or guardian if they do not intend to stay. It is not required for a parent or guardian to be present, but the option is available if desired.
